WHAT we do

Through a collaborative effort of rebuilding pre-1974 muscle cars, Project Wreckless provides individual support and #ToolsForLife for at-risk youth that are more likely to drop out of school, engage in criminal activity, battle with mental illness, or abuse substances. Learning the basics of auto mechanics is a given. Our program is unique in that our youth rotate through a set of other job roles to help set our youth up for the future. These jobs include: Auto Technician, Accounting Manager, Safety Manager, Human Resources Manager, Parts Manager, Community Manager, and Program Manager.

WHO we are

WHO We Are: Our Project Wreckless family is a strong community with one goal in mind- to provide unconditional love, support, and mentorship to our at-risk youth so they can gain confidence in themselves. Our team consists of hard-working board members, educated staff members, dedicated volunteers, and car enthusiasts who have decades of combined volunteer and social impact experience.

WHY we do it

More than 10% of working age dropouts are unemployed. That is double the national unemployment rate. Dropouts are 3.5 times more likely to be arrested and 8 times more likely to be incarcerated. 69% of high school dropouts claim that adults in their life didn’t expect them to perform. Project Wreckless refuses to believe that any at-risk youth is “too far gone.” Instead, we live by the motto “we should expect more from our youth, so they can gain the confidence to expect more from themselves.”
